Hi there — I’m Tiffany, a luxury calligrapher and engraver, and the creative force behind SLM & Design Co., based in South Central Pennsylvania.
I live in the heart of this beautiful region with my fiancé, Shaquille, and our two children, Layla and Milo.
My journey into calligraphy and hand lettering began unexpectedly during my time working as a Physical Therapist Assistant. I started creating seasonal chalkboard signs to brighten our waiting room, which quietly rekindled a passion for art I had set aside over the years. That creative spark grew into painting a wall mural for our Cancer Rehabilitation Program — and with it, a realization that creativity wasn’t just a hobby, but a calling.
A simple yet powerful comment from a coworker — “You’re in the wrong business” — stayed with me. Combined with a deep desire to be more present with my family, it gave me the courage to pursue calligraphy, engraving, and design wholeheartedly.
Why the name SLM & Design Co.?
SLM & Design Co. is more than a brand — it’s a piece of my heart.
When it came time to choose a name, I wanted something that honored the people who inspire me most: my family. Family has always been at the center of everything I value — love, tradition, creativity, and connection.
Choosing SLM & Design Co. was my way of weaving their spirit into everything I create. Every handwritten letter, engraved detail, and personalized piece is made with the same care, devotion, and artistry that my family has always shown me.
